Please bring your own towel, and water bottle with you for each class you attend.

You can bring your own yoga mat or props if you like, however we provide mats and all the props you will need.

We have shelving for you to place your personal belongings within. Phones are not to be with you during your class, but in the provided shelving. Please ensure that your phone is either turned off, or on silent for the duration of the classes.

What if I have never tried Yoga or Pilates before?

How absolutely exciting that we get to assist you as you begin this journey! We are honoured that you have found yourself here.

Before you begin class make sure you let the instructor know that you are new to this movement practice, so that they may offer modifications for you. Most of our classes are all levels, and we do our best to offer lots of modifications and options so that everyone is happy, however if you want something that moves a bit slower look for Slow Flow, Hatha or Yin yoga classes.

Listen to your body, and if something doesn’t feel right for you, don’t do it. Don’t get caught up comparing yourself to another student or the teacher.

I know starting out can be nerve wracking (I still remember my first class) but try to have some fun and enjoy yourself! And don’t give up after one or a few classes!

Everyone started exactly where you are, so if they can do it, so can you.

We are more than happy to answer any queries that you have 😊
Message us on socials, or email illuminatestudios.bundaberg@gmail.com.

Do we provide amenities?

At Illuminate Studios we share a toilet with another beautiful shop in the Laneway. A key is needed to access the toilet, so if you need to use it, please ask our lovely teacher in studio.

Please note, the minimum freeze time we can apply is 1 fortnight, and a maximum of 4 fortnights.

We will do our best to align the requested freeze dates for you, however we are limited to scheduled fortnightly deductions closest to your requested dates.

What if I have injured myself or become ill?

Once you have completed your 12-week commitment period, you can cancel any time with at least 2 weeks notice. All cancellation requests must be in writing via email to illuminatestudios.bundaberg@gmail.com. We will do our to cancel memberships in a timely manner, however if the proper notice (2 weeks) is not given, we may not be able to stop payment before the outside third party deducts the amount. If this is the case, Illuminate Studios will not refund or re-imburse this amount.

Please note, in cases of long-term injury or illness, you do not have to complete the minimum commitment period. Email your request through, with a supporting medical certificate.

What if I purchased a Class Pack and it has expired before I got to use all the classes?

Unfortunately, we are unable to credit or refund classes that have not been used before the expiry date. Exception to this is injuries or illnesses, with which a medical certificate will need to be provided.

Am I able to attend classes if I am pregnant?

Absolutely! Pregnancy is such a special time in your life, and we would be honoured to have you and your growing bub attend Illuminate Studios. It is advised that you avoid hot classes and take caution with some of the faster moving classes. Listen to your body, and honour this special time, knowing that things may change each week as to how you are feeling. It can be quite exhausting growing a little person in your belly!

If you are pregnant, it is your responsibility to verbally tell the teacher before class so that they may offer modifications for you.

Please keep in mind, every person and each pregnancy are different, so please chat with your medical practitioner first, especially if you are new to yoga or Pilates, or if you are a high-risk pregnancy. In cases of a high-risk pregnancy, you will need medical clearance in writing, before you can participate in classes.

If you have never tried Pilates before, it is advised that you don’t start this when you fall pregnant. If you are an existing client, you may continue mat Pilates as long as you take modifications and rest when you need to.

Keep an eye on the timetable and social media, because ‘Pregnancy’ and ‘Mums and Bubs’ classes will be offered when we have instructors available. These are open to new and existing clients! We hope to see you and your growing bump on the mat soon!

How often should I practice Yoga?

I get it – life is busy! Between juggling work, family, friends, children, house-hold chores, and getting to the studio, attending classes can be challenging. But please, do yourself a favour, and prioritise your health. If your weekly schedule only allows you to attend one class per week, then great, we will see you then! If you can get here more often, even better!

If you are looking for significant improvement on your physical and mental aspects, try to commit to 3 regular classes per week. With this level of devotion, you will feel the change within your body and your mind too.

Like anything, the more time you dedicate to your practice, the greater improvement you will feel and see.
